The last 14 days has been pretty fun. I’ve managed to do most of the things which I have been neglecting for the last few months. I managed to join my ex-MMU friends for paintball, night out with my colleagues which were quite happening, bowling tourney, futsal and last but not least Karate!! Whooo…

Let me start with my bowling tourney. Well in the beginning I was worried that I’m gonna finish last but in the end, it did not turn out so bad after all, I managed to set my personal best of 129. I know it’s not a high score but if your somebody who bowls a handful of times a year I think it’s decent. The only thing that took the cherry off the cake was when my teammate did a 132 on the same game and it’s a SHE, damn.

While as for futsal, I was so off the pace that I feel so off the game at the moment. I am seriously severely lacking match fitness. Did not enjoy the game so much, probably because I was new there also and it’s always gonna be difficult playing with new people in the same team. But I learnt something new too, never have MCD before you play futsal. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I feel that I always need extra time to digest my MCD. Hopefully I can catch up with my old friends Kolo ‘Duncan’ Toure, Turbo Khek and Kean ‘Scholesly’ Chien. Lolz

Even though my knee my injured while playing futsal, wounded I knew that I have to attend Karate cause I’ve been absent for so long and it’s good to be back. It’s nice that we have a new training area and it’s good to meet up with old faces, Jasmyin, Sathesha, Tzeh Pin, Kuo Shen, Alvin and of course my beloved Shihan. Unfortunately, due to my injury, my kicks and stance were so damn awful, still in need of time to catch up with everything. Lately I’ve been contemplating on whether to attend kickboxing classes as I felt that it’s the best for of exercise to help me gain back my fitness and sharpen my punch and kicks again. My desire to join kickboxing is partly due to stimulation from watching ‘The Contender Asia’ which really rocks.

This is all from me for the time being, till the next post,
Ciaoz peepz!

The demon barber of fleet street

There's a hole in the world like a great black pit,

and it's filled with people who are filled of shit,

and the vermin of the world inhabit it...

Sweeney Todd rocks...absolutely lovin it~! It was just a pity that they had to censor it in the cinema, cutting out some of the so called gory scenes but luckily i shaved before i watch the movie...lolz I really like the demonic Sweeney Todd, the way the character protrayed by Johnny Deep.

On the other hand, the day before i had watched Cloverfield which i find quite crappy. I think i'm not the only one that finds it difficult to focus on the movie as the view from the video camera really makes me feel dizzy. I heard people actuallly puked watching this movie and frankly speaking, i'm not surprised.

Despite all the things that happened lately, life has been pretty good. It's like there's so many things that keeps me occupied and time passes so quickly especially during non-working periods. At the moment, it's all good...
Hope to update more often....

signing off...

RaW is WaR

My teammate's shirt - "wanna step outside" - step outside means die d la bro

Last week was perhaps my most enjoyable week this year for whatever reasons i do not know. Each day was filled with joy and fun stuff to do. At the same time i think working life has been good to me apart from the brief moment where the alarm rings and it's rise and shine.

Let's not stray off-topic here, i had a paintball session with my ex-MMU buddies and it was pretty fun BUT...yes BUT! I was seriously lacking patience compared to the rest.
It was a 6 on 6 and my teammates are Chiaw Yin, Kimber, Gan, Navin, Kenny and myself.
Out of 4 rounds, i did a 'Rambo' 3 times and yes..i got shot. The first time was shitty, i ran into a tree and it failed to cover me sufficiently as i got shot on my hand. I'm not sure if theoretically i should be considered dead cuz who the heck dies being shot on the hand rite? *pondering*

2nd round i ran up front till it was only one barrier separating the enemies and my teammates were far behind. Yes, another early exit.

3rd round, i ran towards the enemies's base again and yes, i was too far to be covered by my teammates and i ran into Duncan and we took each other out. He tried to shoot my balls but i was wearing jeans luckily. Not too sure what the Tan family has againts the Lai family, trying to end my generation there, but it's all good ;)

4th round, i tried to be a camper but i got shot on my other hand while raising my gun.

Overall, i did not have a good run but did had a good time. To think of it, the amusing part was all our strategies that obviously did not work the very moment we step into the battlefield. But my teammates were brilliant with Kenny as our top marksmen, Gan was distracting our enemy with he's 'bright' shirt while Navin at one point was out of bullets and he continued firing CO2 to cover. lolz And both girls, Kimber and Chiaw Yin survived longer than me in all the rounds i think.

I guess that's all from me... maybe next time we should check out other venues for paintball.

'Hambin'

There's been so many things going through my mind each day. Even at work at times i tend to drift away. At the moment, there's just so many things that i would like to do and all these things have one thing in common, it requires something...MONEY. As fresh grad, salary can never be enough. I'm in such a dilemma that i'm still trying to prioritize the list of things that i would like to do. As much as i would like to go out party during the weekends, at the back of my head i am still thinking of saving money for travelling. While i'm saving money i'm still thinking whether i should use it for travelling or investment perhaps?

Lately, i've been hearing so much stories about travelling and it's one of things that i look forward to during lunch break, listening to my colleagues travelling here and there. As far as i know, most people travel to places for sight-seeing but for me i'm kinda looking for something adventurous. Let's face it, i'm not gonna be in a better shape when i reach 30 YO or more. Well, not to say that i'm in a very good shape now, but i doubt i'll get better in future. Guys, let's face it, when we get older...performance degradation but not if your datuk CSL....lolz just kidding. I'm still need to look for some 'kakis' to go for more extreme and adventurous tour. Imagine, a once in a lifetime jouney on the ancient trail to the lost city of Incas, Machu Picchu in Peru.

or

exploring the ruins of ancient Mayan civilisations which is the pyramids of Chichen Itza in Mexico.

The idea of it hypes me up so badly. EJ! Snap back to reality!! Need to save more money first. *fingers cross* Need to resist the temptations of.....

Anyway, I feel very lucky and thankful that my family, sisters and brother in law are helping me out in the form of accomodation, food and transportation too. It reduces things to worry but instead it makes me feel uneasy. I really hope i can do them a big favour in the near future.

Ciao 2007, Hola 2008

2007 year Review

Another fantastic year with lots of ups and downs. The first month, had a taste of working life followed by the pressure of final year project and after 4 years of studies - Graduation! From there, transition for study life to working life and the burden sinks in.

4) Did you have to go to hospital ?

Nothing special but the next day was special.

11) What's the one thing that you thought that you'd never do but did in 2007?
I think it has to be the one which was sort of againts my integrity. It was sort of a conspiracy, but it was for a good cause...lolz. Definately will remember this forever.

12) What has been your favourite moment?
Having someone special

13) What's something you learned about yourself?
I'm a very demanding person

Yes, a brother in law

15) What music will you remember 2007 by?
"Now it's raining more than ever, know that we'll still have each other. You can stand under my umbrella ella ella eh eh eh". Song of the year ok - Rihanna

16) Any long term plans?
Yes, one of it is to check out the latest 7 wonders of the world as released last year. 1. Great wall of China, 2. Petra in Jordan, 3. Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, 4. Machu Picchu in Peru, 5. Chichen Itza in Mexico, 6. Colleseum in Italy, 7. Taj Mahal in India and 8. Great Pyramid in Egypt. I hope i can kick off around end of this year but i still need to decide which to go first as you can see two of the places are in South America and one in North America. I think those are the tricky ones or rather interesting ones which i think i'm gonna visit first.

17)New Year Resolution
As mentioned earlier i'm demanding, so i'm hoping for a long and successful career, stress free with plenty of time to balance work and personal life. I wish to enjoy life more and try to save more money while i make more money.

' May you have a relaxed MIND, a peaceful SOUL, a joyful SPIRIT, a HEALTHY body and pocket always full of MONEY'

Happy New Year guyz! and HappY new year babe!!

cheerios,
